Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in San Leandro (Structurals division) seeks an experienced NDT Quality professional to perform Level III duties for FPI and radiographic testing.

You will establish techniques, ensure NAS 410/SNT-TC-1A compliance, and lead audits while coordinating with engineering and production teams. Ideal candidates have RT/PT experience, ASNT certification, and strong knowledge of investment casting QA methods.

Qualifications

• 3-4 year undergrad in science or engineering with at least one year NDT Level 2 experience
• Two years of engineering or science study with at least two years NDT Level 2 experience
• High school diploma with at least four years of NDT Level 2 experience
• ASNT Certification and RT/PT experience to NAS 410 requirements

Responsibilities

• Level III duties for Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (Methods A/D) and Radiographic Testing (CR, DDA)
• Establish X-ray and FPI techniques; interpret specs and designate test methods
• Maintain NAS 410/SNT-TC-1A NDT certification program as Responsible Level III
• Review POs, blueprints, and specs for raw material casting and inspection plans
• Conduct internal and external audits as required
• Lead customer and NADCAP NDT audits as needed
• Coordinate NDT requirements, test results, and related paperwork
• Liaise with customers to establish quality standards and visit facilities as needed
• Work with Engineering, QC, and Operations to set priorities
• Review product routing and establish written controls
• Write and approve NDT procedure content
