Job summary

FMI Composites in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking an experienced NDT Responsible Level III to lead and implement our nondestructive testing program for composite materials and components. You will develop inspection techniques, interpret results, train personnel, and ensure compliance with NAS 410 and customer specs.

Qualifications

• ASNT or NAS-410 Level 3 in RT and UT required, composites experience.
• Documented training in digital radiographic and ultrasonic inspections.
• Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing and nondestructive testing.
• Able to manage shifting priorities in fast-paced environments.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety regs and radiation protection standards are followed.
• Establish and maintain NDT capabilities per NAS 410 and customer needs.
• Train and qualify NDT personnel; perform/interpret DR and UT inspections to meet deadlines.
• Develop and document NDT techniques per program requirements.
• Document NDT investigations with clear reports.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to optimize inspections.
