Job summary

Client Growth Resources, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for NCDOT work in the Cary/Raleigh market to run heavy civil roadway, bridge and utility projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will own budgets, schedules, cost reporting, and safety performance while leading field teams and coordinating with owners, engineers and vendors. Triangle-area candidates or relocations to Raleigh are welcome.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as the Project Manager of record on heavy civil, highway, bridge or utility work for a contractor.
• Documented NCDOT project experience as the PM is required. Be ready to name the jobs.
• You have already run projects in their entirety. This is not a step up role for an APM or Project Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects as the Project Manager of record, from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own the budget, schedule, cost reports, forecasting and margin on every job you run.
• Submit accurate cost and income projections and act on variances early.
• Lead superintendents, field engineers and subcontractors to hit production, quality and safety.
• Serve as the main contact for NCDOT, owners, engineers, inspectors and vendors.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders and manage subcontractor performance.
• Handle change orders, pay estimates, submittals, claims and contract documentation.
• Run weekly project meetings on schedule and cost, and report performance to leadership.
• Work with estimating on bids and the handoff so the job starts right.
• Keep a strong safety culture on every site.
