Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for heavy civil NCDOT work in the Cary/Raleigh market. You will manage roadway, bridge and utility projects end-to-end, owning budgets, schedules, and forecasts while leading field teams to meet safety and quality goals.

You should have NCDOT PM experience, strong cost control, and a track record of delivering projects on time. Relocation to the Raleigh area is encouraged, with a backlog of work already secured.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as the PM of record on heavy civil, highway, bridge or utility work.
• Documented NCDOT project experience as the PM is required.
• You have run projects end-to-end; not suitable for an APM/Engineer role.
• Contractor-side experience preferred; consultants/inspectors not a fit.
• Strong cost control, scheduling, and change-order management.

Responsibilities

• Run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own budget, schedule, cost reports, forecasting and margins.
• Submit cost projections and act on variances early.
• Lead superintendents, field engineers and subcontractors to hit targets.
• Serve as main contact for NCDOT, owners, engineers and vendors.
• Issue subcontracts and POs and manage subcontractor performance.
• Handle change orders, pay estimates, submittals and contract docs.
• Run weekly project meetings and report to leadership.
• Collaborate with estimating on bids and handoffs.
