Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin’s Applied Research Laboratories requires an ILS Training Specialist (RESA IV) to deliver formal system operation and maintenance training to active duty Navy and industry partners for the Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL).

You will develop comprehensive curriculum materials for underwater sensors and unmanned vehicles, participate in testing, documentation, and act as Assistant Training Coordinator coordinating training with Navy and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Six years of experience operating, testing and employing sophisticated Navy systems, including underwater acoustic systems.
• Detailed knowledge of training product/curriculum development.
• Ability to deliver training to active duty Navy and industry partners.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, plan and execute installation, test and maintenance procedures of complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver formal system operation and maintenance training to Navy and industry partners for the ATL.
• Develop and maintain curriculum material for underwater sensor systems and unmanned underwater vehicles with tactical sensors.
• Develop test and maintenance procedures and formal work packages; create technical documentation and manuals.
• Provide field engineering support; troubleshoot, assemble and repair electromechanical assemblies and networks.
• Assist Training Coordinator with scheduling and coordinating training activities with Navy and contractors.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and project partners; research and apply new technologies.
