Job summary

Green Expert Technology Inc. (GreenXT) seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support HM&E systems for the NSWCPD's Auxiliary Machinery Systems Division. You will provide in-service engineering, technical data management, and installation assistance aboard ships and in shipyards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a DoD Secret clearance, and hands-on experience with naval auxiliary systems, MACHALTs, SCDs, and SEP processes. On-site work with occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Active DoD Secret Level Security Clearance.
• 3 years of experience with Navy Ship Auxiliary systems (AC/R, HES-C, Auxiliary Fuel, Lube Oil, pumps, valves) and testing.
• Experience with distributed machinery and related control systems.
• Familiarity with NSWCPD SEP, MACHALTs, ECPs, and SCDs processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-service engineering for AC/R, Auxiliary, Combat Support, Life Support and Ventilation, and/or Compressed Air Systems.
• Support testing, procedures, MACHALTs, and ship change documents; coordinate onsite.
• Review designs and drawings; identify discrepancies with ship configuration and interferences.
• Deliver ship system configuration, training, testing, and assessments of HM&E systems.
• Conduct pre/post-installation ship checks to verify installation drawings.
