Job summary

INDUS Technology, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Fabricator/Welder to perform hands-on welding, fabrication, and machining for U.S. Navy SURTASS-E program hardware. The role includes planning, setup, inspection, and repair of components, with extended shifts and some travel as needed.

The position requires an active secret clearance, an associate degree, and several years of machining and welding experience within naval or industrial settings. CAD/CAM and 3D printing support may be involved.

Qualifications

• Active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
• Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
• Four years of experience in machining, fabrication, mechanical repair, maintenance, or similar environments.
• Demonstrated hands-on welding experience performing actual welding work.
• Experience with metal fabrication, cutting, grinding, fitting, layout, alignment, and assembly.
• Two years of experience with CAD/CAM, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, drafting, 3D printing, or engineering design.
• Four years of experience using precision measuring equipment and inspecting parts.
• Four years of experience as a U.S. Navy technician or related mechanical role.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on welding and metal fabrication including cutting, grinding, fitting, layout, and assembly.
• Program, set up, and operate CNC equipment, mills, lathes, and other shop tools.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to plan machining and fabrication work.
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and compliance with specs.
• Support equipment maintenance, testing, and reliability for Navy operations.
• Collaborate with engineers and logistics to resolve equipment issues.
