Job summary

Mission Technologies is hiring a seasoned welder/lead for shipboard installation, repair, and modification of mechanical systems aboard submarines and surface ships. You will supervise a team, perform complex welding, and ensure NAVSEA-aligned safety standards.

The role requires 4+ years in marine fabrication, ability to train juniors, and security clearance eligibility, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of welding and metal fabrication experience in marine/industrial environments.
  • Ability to train junior personnel and supervise small work teams.
  • Must be able to obtain CAC badge and DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, repair, and modify shipboard mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Lead welders and mechanics during shipboard alterations.
  • Train and mentor junior personnel to ensure safety and quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical performance issues.
  • Support technical documentation and work packages as required.
  • Maintain communication with customers, engineering teams, and program leads.
