Qualifications

• Active secret clearance is required.
• Associate's degree from an accredited university.
• Four (4) years of experience in machining, fabrication, mechanical repair, equipment maintenance, or similar technical environments.
• Two (2) years of experience with CAD/CAM software, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, drafting, or 3D printing.
• Two (2) years of experience with welding, fabrication, or metal repair.

Responsibilities

• Performs machining, fabrication, mechanical repair and support work on equipment and related systems.
• Sets up and operates CNC equipment, mills, lathes, saws, grinders, drills, and related tools.
• Plans machining and fabrication by reviewing drawings, specs, and tolerances.
• Prepares parts and assemblies prior to machining, welding, or assembly.
• Uses precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and workmanship.
• Troubleshoots mechanical problems and implements corrective actions.
