Responsibilities

• Weld metal components to repair or fabricate shipboard structures using arc and gas welding.
• Perform gas welding, brazing, and various arc welding processes.
• Use thermal cutting, grinding, and metal shaping equipment as needed.
• Repair cracked metal parts and adjust dimensions as required.
• Follow welding standards and ensure quality workmanship on naval vessels.
• Operate welding and cutting equipment and support shipboard repair work.
