Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is looking for a Welder/Fitter to support PM operations at the Woodlake Fabrication Shop in Chesapeake, VA. The role involves working on U.S. Naval vessels to assist with alterations and installations. Candidates should have experience with welding processes like SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW, along with the ability to read blueprints and maintain quality control. Qualifications

• Must demonstrate welding ability through qualification testing.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• 4 years of related experience required.
• Ability to wear a half-face respirator.

Responsibilities

• Support trades team with alterations for fleet modernization.
• Fabricate, maintain, repair, and modify structural elements.
• Work from blueprints and engineering sketches.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are followed.
