Job summary

Serco seeks a dynamic Project Manager to join NASO, overseeing engineering and technical services for overhaul and repair of U.S. Navy surface ships. Location: Yokosuka, Japan. Requires maintaining a DoD Secret clearance.

You will lead HM&E and aviation systems teams, coordinate with Ship's Force, and develop work packages, training, and maintenance planning. Travel up to 25% may be required; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with seven years' related engineering management experience or an Associate's with fourteen years' experience.
• Five years' supervisory experience in maintenance, design, or technical assistance for surface ships.
• Three years' involvement with aircraft carrier/surface ship maintenance and propulsion systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams providing technical guidance on HM&E and aviation systems interfacing with combat support systems.
• Oversee inspections, examinations, analysis, and repairs for naval propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
• Liaise with ship’s reactor department prior to inspections, testing, and production work.
• Coordinate fault identification and support Ship's Force with repairs of propulsion and related systems.
• Provide technical support on operation, overhaul, and repair of auxiliary machinery, electrical, hull, and aviation systems.
• Guide and train Ship's Force per CCAMM and NAVSEAINST guidelines; support TYCOM CIP activities.
• Develop updated training packages for TYCOM and on-board operator training.
• Develop FWPs and CWPs per Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual.
• Manage personnel to support short- and long-term contract efforts.
• Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
