U.S. Pacific Fleet is seeking a senior supervisor to direct and assure the overhaul of naval assets. You will liaison with shipyard management at all levels and with subordinate supervision to ensure successful execution of complex overhaul projects.

You will provide schedules, budget estimates, and guidance on production techniques, equipment needs, and facility requirements to accomplish work. Travel to CONUS/OCONUS sites may be required, and security clearances will be necessary.

Qualifications

• Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
• Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing the planning and execution of nuclear or non-nuclear ship overhaul and repair projects to ensure the overall effectiveness in terms of cost, quality, and timeliness of completion.

Responsabilités

• Direct liaison with all levels of Shipyard management and through subordinate levels of supervision to assure overhaul success.
• Provide information and advice regarding project schedules, budget estimates, changes in production techniques or standards, and equipment and facility requirements to accomplish the work.
• Plan work assignments considering trades involved, manpower and equipment availability, deadlines, and other projects.
• Manage material and overtime programs to assure proper execution and recommend cost saving improvements.
• Implement policy developed at higher levels and assign or hold responsible those organizations accountable for proper execution of the overhaul.
• Coordinate employee assignments with other trades, engineers, military advisors, superintendents, and managers.
