Job summary

ORBIS Inc. seeks a Project Manager to lead a team of technicians and oversee maintenance work on Navy carriers and surface ships.

You will supervise project teams, interface with customers, and manage subcontractor teams to ensure adherence to Navy requirements. The role requires extensive experience in engineering management, supervisory leadership, and hands-on knowledge of shipboard propulsion, electrical, and damage control systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years' experience in related engineering management field.
• Associate's degree with 15+ years' experience in related engineering management field.
• Five years of supervisory experience in technical assistance, maintenance, or design related to Navy carriers or surface ships; three years in maintenance/design/operation problems of shipboard systems.
• Two years' direct experience with auxiliary, electrical, and damage control systems; two years with U.S. Naval Ships.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with a secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise project teams of expert maintenance personnel.
• Interface with customers and manage subcontractor teams.
• Coordinate inspections of ship compartments and systems during Navy maintenance periods.
• Develop and use technical documents, work packages, and test reports.
• Schedule, report and brief customers and senior management; perform quality inspections.
