Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead engineering and technical services for overhaul and repair of HM&E and aviation systems on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers.

The role involves coordinating with Ship's Force and reactor departments, overseeing inspections, and guiding maintenance planning. Ideal candidates hold an active DoD clearance, have extensive supervisory experience in Navy-related maintenance or design, and are prepared for travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 14+ years in related field with substantial engineering management experience.
• Active DoD security clearance is required.
• Five years of supervisory experience in technical assistance, maintenance, or design related to Navy carriers or surface ships.
• Two years direct experience with propulsion, electrical, or damage control systems on US Naval ships.
• Up to 25% travel for CONUS/OCONUS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams providing technical guidance on HM&E and aviation equipment interfacing with combat systems and hull support items.
• Oversee inspections, examinations, repairs, and maintenance planning for naval propulsion and auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate with Ship's Force and reactor department as needed before inspections and testing.
• Develop training packages and formal work packages for maintenance and repair activities.
• Manage personnel to support short- and long-term contract efforts.
• Cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
