The Electronic Field Engineer II position is based in Norwich, CT as a full-time on-site role requiring a Secret clearance.

You will test, troubleshoot, install, calibrate, repair and modify sonar systems, conduct lab and shipboard work, and draft agreements and system changes.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of sonar systems experience from Navy.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, installation, calibration, repair, and modification of equipment and systems.
  • Solve technical problems in accordance with prescribed specifications.
  • Conduct laboratory and shipboard work.
  • Conduct submarine ship checks to determine the necessary efforts to seamlessly install systems onboard a platform.
  • Draft Memorandums of Agreement, Work Authorization Forms, System Tag outs and Controlled work packages.
  • Provide technical input and review for developing new Temporary Alterations (TempAlts), Operational Alterations (OpAlts) and Ship Alterations (ShipAlts).
  • Author detailed reports.
