Job summary

The Port Operations Coordinator role at Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) supports U.S. Navy port operations at Naval Station Mayport, coordinating berthing activities, vessel movements, and waterfront logistics with the Government Dockmaster.

You will manage berthing equipment and shipboard utility connections, ensuring safe, compliant berthing readiness and accurate contract reporting. Travel is 25% and the position is contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating berthing, shipboard utility connections, and dockside support.
• Ability to coordinate vessel arrivals, departures, berthing priorities, and waterfront services.
• Familiar with berthing equipment, power and water connections, and berth readiness.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily vessel berthing operations, personnel, equipment, and resources.
• Serve as the primary contractor point of contact with the Government Dockmaster.
• Coordinate vessel arrivals, departures, berth assignments, docking, and related waterfront services.
• Oversee berth setup and readiness, including brows, towers, fenders, and berthing equipment.
• Coordinate shipboard utility connections and disconnections (shore power, potable water).
• Coordinate port logistics, hotel services, and dockside support to meet vessel requirements.
• Monitor berthing schedules, equipment availability, and safety/compliance; address deficiencies.
