Serco Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to support the Submarine COLUMBIA and DREADNOUGHT programs in Chantilly, VA.

You will help design and integrate Ship Control Systems and HMCCS, drive system engineering processes, and coordinate with NAVSEA, SSP and UK MoD to meet milestones and FBW requirements. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, 5+ years of engineering experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Time management and multitasking abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsabilités

• Report to the SCS SIT Lead and the Forward Project Officer.
• Support design and integration of SCS and HMCCS per Ship Building Specifications and FBW requirements.
• Lead and participate in System Engineering processes for Columbia and DREADNOUGHT programs.
• Facilitate SIT meetings and coordinate with NAVSEA, SSP, UK MoD and Naval Warfare Centers.
• Identify and manage risks with mitigation plans for major projects.
• Collaborate with other SITs to resolve interfaces and ensure integration.
