Job summary

U.S. Pacific Fleet in Bremerton, WA, seeks a specialist to support environmental program management and regulatory compliance in air, water, or hazardous waste. You will monitor inspections and help ensure shipyard adherence to Navy policies.

The role requires reviewing technical documents, updating procedures for regulatory changes, and assisting in planning resolution of compliance issues, with travel to CONUS/OCONUS as needed.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience performing environmental inspections on industrial operations and developing mitigation recommendations.
• Experience with regulatory compliance deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Experience analyzing inspection data and communicating findings.

Responsibilities

• Support environmental program management and compliance in air, water, or hazardous waste/hazardous material.
• Update instructions to keep them current with regulatory changes.
• Review technical work documents for compliance with Shipyard instructions and regulatory requirements.
• Provide support to the command to plan or resolve compliance issues meeting Shipyard needs.
• Conduct periodic self-evaluations to review regulatory compliance and recommend corrective actions.
