Job summary

U.S. Coast Guard in Oakland, CA (and Seattle, WA; Cleveland, OH) seeks an Interdisciplinary Environmental Management Specialist at the GS-0401-12 level.

You will act as SME across remediation, compliance, planning, and sustainability programs, guiding initiatives and ensuring regulatory adherence. The successful candidate will lead complex environmental projects, provide technical guidance to teams, support NEPA processes, and coordinate with asset managers and planners to advance shore

Qualifications

• Degree in biological sciences or related field required.
• Experience with environmental programs and project management.
• Knowledge of NEPA and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for environmental programs including remediation, compliance, planning, and sustainability.
• Guide remediation/restoration projects and oversee related studies.
• Provide NEPA documentation planning and support.
• Conduct compliance evaluations and environmental audits.
