Job summary

Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Specialist I to perform daily and weekly environmental inspections and support compliance with Federal, State, and local environmental permits and regulations at the Panama City facility.

The role involves assisting Production, maintaining hazardous material inventories, and addressing compliance questions while working under the Environmental Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Three or more years of environmental work experience desired.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance would be beneficial.
• Ability to read and comprehend written information, diagrams, and plans.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and weekly environmental inspections at the facility.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local environmental permits and regulations.
• Support production to maintain environmental compliance.
• Assist in maintaining storage and inventory of hazardous materials.
• Investigate and help resolve environmental compliance questions or issues.
• Other duties as assigned.
