BB&E is seeking a Construction Surveillance Engineering Technician to support NAVFAC Southeast at Naval Station Mayport, Jacksonville, FL. The role emphasizes coordinating the construction quality management program, reviewing QC plans, and witnessing testing for critical systems on military projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction quality management for assigned projects
• Review contractor QC plan with Construction Manager and provide recommendations
• Attend quality control, preparatory and initial meetings, and monitor three-phase checklists for accuracy
• Provide remarks on Government QA reports focusing on critical features of work
• Take, file, and distribute progress photos
• Validate materials on site prior to Government payment
• Coordinate witness testing and commissioning of critical systems (HVAC, electrical, fire protection, roofing, and underwater structures)
• Ensure workmanship meets specifications and standards on building materials and systems
• Attend or witness tests and review test reports
• Keep Government sponsor advised on project status
