BB&E is seeking a Construction Surveillance Engineering Technician to support NAVFAC SE at Mayport, Jacksonville, FL. The role focuses on coordinating the construction quality management program, reviewing QC plans, witnessing tests, and ensuring workmanship aligns with specifications and standards.

The candidate should have 5+ years as a QC Manager on NAVFAC/USACE projects or 10 years foreman experience, and must complete USACE CQM Certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years as a Quality Control Manager on NAVFAC/USACE projects or 10 years foreman experience in trades.
• Must complete the USACE Construction CQM Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction quality management program for assigned projects.
• Review and recommend approval of contractor QC plans.
• Attend QC, preparatory and initial meetings; monitor three-phase checklists.
• Comment on Government QA reports on critical features of work.
• Take, file and distribute progress photos; verify materials on site.
• Coordinate testing/commissioning of critical systems (mechanical, electrical, life safety).
• Assure workmanship per specs; witness tests and review test reports.
• Keep sponsor advised on project status; plan and execute independently.
