Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Natural Resources Consultant to join the Texas & Louisiana region. You will support environmental permitting, ecological assessments, field investigations, and regulatory coordination across energy, infrastructure, and land development projects.

Work with scientists, planners, and engineers to navigate regulatory requirements, produce technical reports, and help clients meet permitting deadlines while promoting sustainable project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in natural resources, ecological consulting, or permitting.
  • Experience conducting environmental field surveys and resource assessments.
  • Familiarity with wetlands regulations and endangered species considerations.
  • Proficiency with GIS, MS Office, and environmental data management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support project managers in environmental permitting and deliverables.
  • Conduct field investigations, biological assessments, and habitat evaluations.
  • Evaluate potential environmental impacts to wetlands, streams, and wildlife habitat.
  • Prepare technical reports and permit applications.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
  • Maintain field records and project documentation.
  • Travel across Gulf South region as needed.
