Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Natural Resources Consultant to support the Texas & Louisiana region as part of the Earth & Environment Team. You will work with scientists, planners, engineers, and environmental professionals to address natural resources, permitting, and ecological assessment projects across the Gulf South.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience in natural resources consulting, field surveys, and regulatory coordination, with strong GIS and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• 3–5 years of experience supporting natural resources or ecological consulting
• Experience with environmental field surveys and natural resource assessments
• Familiarity with wetlands regulations and endangered species considerations
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting frameworks
• Experience preparing technical reports and permit applications
• Familiarity with energy/infrastructure projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and environmental data tools

Responsibilities

• Support project managers in executing natural resources and permitting projects
• Conduct field investigations, biological assessments, and habitat evaluations
• Evaluate environmental impacts to wetlands, streams, wildlife habitat, and endangered species
• Prepare technical reports, environmental analyses, and permit applications
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and project stakeholders
• Maintain field records and GIS data for projects
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop mitigation strategies
• Support field data collection and project planning activities
