Job summary

CFE International LLC in Houston, TX is hiring a Natural Gas Scheduler to manage the safe, reliable movement of gas across North American markets. You will coordinate nominations, monitor flows, and align scheduling with commercial commitments to maximize value and minimize risk.

In this role you’ll work with traders, operations, pipelines and counterparties, ensuring accurate execution and on‑time deliveries while maintaining data integrity and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Experience in natural gas scheduling, energy logistics, pipeline operations, or related commercial role.
• Knowledge of natural gas pipeline operations, transportation agreements, nominations, balancing, and EBBS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
• Ability to collaborate across commercial, operational, and external stakeholder groups.
• Willingness to participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily natural gas nominations and scheduling per pipeline requirements and commercial needs.
• Monitor pipeline flows, measurement data, and inventory; adjust to manage imbalances and optimize deliveries.
• Coordinate with traders, operations, pipelines, storage providers, and counterparties for reliable gas transactions.
• Track pipeline operating conditions, maintenance, constraints, and notices; communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Optimize transportation, storage, and supply utilization to meet commercial goals and control costs.
• Maintain accurate records within scheduling and operations systems; ensure data integrity and audit readiness.
• Review and reconcile pipeline statements, invoices, and counterparty records; investigate discrepancies.
• Analyze operational and commercial data to identify trends and support asset optimization.
• Partner with trading, risk, and operations to manage risk and capitalize on market opportunities.
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage for 24/7 operations.
