Job summary

TerraPower in Bellevue, WA, seeks a Manager for Natrium Fuel Handling Systems to lead design and delivery of spent fuel pool and dry cask storage equipment. You will manage a multidisciplinary team, coordinate with project management, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidate has a mechanical/nuclear engineering background, 10+ years in design/engineering management, and ASME/NQA-1 familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10+ years in design/engineering management of systems.
• 2+ years of supervisory or mentoring experience.
• Nuclear or energy sector experience preferred.
• Experience with ASME and related design codes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve engineering design documentation.
• Ensure design interfaces are controlled.
• Oversee supplier/partner/vendor technical work.
• Develop staffing plans and hire personnel.
• Interface with cross-functional teams for project delivery.
• Manage risks and ensure safety, quality, and technical excellence.
