Job summary

TerraPower is seeking a Manager, Plant Materials and Processes in the Bellevue/Everett, WA area. You will lead a team focused on developing, fabricating, and qualifying materials for Natrium reactor systems, building a supply chain, and delivering material performance data to design.

Manage schedule, budget, and regulatory interfaces to advance advanced nuclear tech. You will supervise engineers, drive material datasets, and coordinate with Engineering Strategy, Nuclear Systems, and Laboratory

Qualifications

• 8+ years of nuclear-related experience and a relevant engineering degree.
• Proven leadership with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III.
• Metallurgy knowledge of ferritic/ferrous and nonferrous alloys.
• Familiarity with ISO-9001/AS9100 and NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B desired.
• Understanding of reactor plant design and sodium-cooled reactors is a plus.
• Strong planning, budgeting, and testing/modeling execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide materials engineering support for procurement of engineered components.
• Lead supplier development for design and fabrication of key components.
• Approve material property datasets per ASME NQA-1-2015.
• Coordinate with engineering groups to support Natrium projects.
• Oversee material performance models for reactor components.
• Oversee material test programs to validate models.
• Support licensing for advanced reactor systems and components.
• Maintain project schedule and budget with the team.
• Manage team delivering work on time and within cost.
• Communicate status to stakeholders and management.
• Ensure adherence to procedures and regulatory criteria.
• Promote safety and quality leadership and safe working environment.
