Job summary

U.S. Venture is seeking a Senior Director of Warehouse Operations to lead and optimize a nationwide network of warehouses. The role partners with the VP of Operations to ensure operational excellence, scalability, and alignment with business objectives across multiple regions.

The ideal candidate will oversee 6+ regional leaders, manage a network of 20–40 facilities, and travel up to 50% to support network operations. Relocation may be considered for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including multi-site oversight
• Strong financial acumen including P&L ownership, budgeting and cost-per-unit management
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams with limited direction
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across executive leadership

Responsibilities

• Define and drive operational goals and strategy; analyze areas for improvement
• Cross-functional work to identify needs and develop implementable strategies
• Develop internal capability; align resources to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost
• Lead Operational Excellence team to standardize metrics across locations
• Coordinate logistics for freight moves and warehouse network growth; participate in acquisitions
• Oversee lease management, market expansion, and incentive negotiations
• Monitor industry trends; implement automation to drive efficiency and reduce costs
• Set KPIs with leaders and use data analytics to drive decisions and measure success
• Perform regular onsite visits to address location challenges and gather feedback
• Ensure SOPs are followed and maintain effective communication between locations and operations
• Engage with vendors, experts, and external forums to share learnings
