Job summary

Langan is seeking a Project Engineer/Manager - Water and Wastewater to support its growing national water practice. This role will drive due diligence, water sourcing and discharge strategy, water reuse planning, and permitting/compliance for manufacturing and industrial clients across the United States.

Responsibilities include coordinating multi-office teams, guiding water and wastewater engineering, and providing regulatory oversight under the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Chemical, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or closely related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in the environmental field, with at least 2 years as a project manager in a consulting environment.
• Professional certification or on track to obtain (e.g. PE, CHMM).
• Working knowledge of water/wastewater treatment technologies and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support water due diligence efforts for data center developments and regulatory analyses.
• Develop and implement water sourcing strategies using municipal, groundwater, surface, reclaimed, and alternative sources.
• Evaluate wastewater discharge strategies including NPDES permitting and water reuse approaches.
• Coordinate with engineering teams on water and wastewater infrastructure planning and interface design.
• Provide regulatory guidance on water treatment, wastewater treatment, cooling water systems, and water reuse.
