Job summary

Langan International, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer/Manager - Water and Wastewater to support its growing national water practice. This role drives water strategy initiatives for diverse clients across the United States, including due diligence, source water assessments, and permit compliance for mission-critical facilities.

You will lead water and wastewater system planning, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, oversee regulatory reviews, and mentor staff while delivering integrated

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental/chemical/civil engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in environmental field, with at least 2 years as a project manager.
• Professional certification or on track to obtain (PE, CHMM).
• Strong communication, multitasking, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support water due diligence for data center developments and regulatory analyses.
• Develop water sourcing strategies across municipal, groundwater, surface, and reclaimed water sources.
• Advance wastewater discharge strategies including NPDES permits and water reuse.
• Coordinate with engineering teams on water/wastewater infrastructure planning and interface design.
• Provide regulatory guidance on water treatment and reuse applications.
• Collaborate with utilities, municipalities, agencies, and stakeholders to navigate permitting challenges.
• Support water strategy development through the project lifecycle from site selection to operations.
• Provide regulatory oversight for Safe Drinking Water Act compliance programs.
• Support NOV responses and enforcement negotiations and regulatory inspections.
• Assist with treatability studies and optimization of drinking water and wastewater systems.
• Provide innovative engineering solutions for emerging contaminant control.
• Assist with proposal development and project execution planning.
• Manage project delivery including scope, schedule, budget, invoicing.
