Job summary

The Intake Coordinator at Tunnel to Towers Foundation will serve as the centralized point of contact for veteran housing intakes across Veterans Villages nationwide, based in Staten Island, and will work closely with Program Directors and the Senior Director of Supportive Housing and Services.

The role ensures intake from inquiry to placement with consistent standards, data integrity, and timely processing.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field; Master’s preferred.
Minimum three years in housing intake, social services, or case management.
Experience in veteran-focused programs preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office/ Google Suite; knowledge of EHR systems preferred.
Pre-employment background check is required.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary contact for all incoming veteran housing applications across current and future Veterans Village sites.
Coordinate and standardize intake procedures across programs to ensure compliance and quality.
Screen, interview, and assess applicants, collecting documentation with trauma-informed care.
Communicate with site leadership to confirm eligibility and facilitate housing transitions.
Train staff on intake protocols, documentation standards, and system updates.
Maintain confidential records and track intake metrics and trends.
