Job summary

R-2 Contractors seeks an experienced Utility-Scale Heavy Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on nationwide projects in power, renewable energy, and substation sectors. You will plan manpower, manage heavy equipment, and coordinate with Project Managers to deliver high-quality work safely and on schedule.

The role requires 10+ years in heavy civil construction, 5+ years of superintendent experience, and the ability to travel extensively to active sites across the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of heavy civil construction experience including utility-scale power or large infrastructure.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading heavy civil operations as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent.
• Strong ability to read grading plans, civil drawings, GPS models and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations for utility-scale heavy civil construction projects.
• Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and production schedules.
• Supervise foremen, operators, craft personnel, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure safety and productivity.
• Oversee mass grading, excavation, site development, drainage systems, and erosion control.
• Develop foremen and future superintendents through coaching and mentorship.
