Job summary

ARCO/Murray Power Solutions is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on tilt-up construction projects across the United States. You will ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery, uphold safety and quality, and coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors to align with schedules.

The role requires 5–25 years of lead supervision experience, strong leadership, and proficient scheduling and office software.

Qualifications

5-25 years of experience as a lead superintendent on tilt-up construction projects.
Able to make decisions under tight deadlines.
Able to organize people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to address conflict.
Commitment to quality and customer expectations.
Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and project scheduling programs.
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

Attend post award review meetings to receive project details and preplanning information.
Prepare a schedule of construction activities, org chart, staffing, and equipment needs.
Direct and control the construction project to meet specs and schedule.
Assist in duties of project manager/engineer including shipment of materials and approvals of shop drawings.
Coordinate subcontractors to integrate their work with schedules.
Inform supervisors/subcontractors of schedule changes promptly.
Prepare progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs.
Review and approve requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices and reports.
Cooperate with owner representatives and architects while protecting company interests.
Hold jobsite meetings with project manager and regional manager.
Report to project manager on progress, plans, and issues affecting costs or schedules.
Maintain a daily diary of significant project facts and approvals.
Ensure adherence to the company safety program.
