Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a National Program Management Director – Transmission to lead and grow a multi‑discipline team delivering electric transmission projects across the United States. This role reports to the Energy Program's Senior VP and drives strategic client engagement, resource alignment, and high‑impact project delivery.

You will oversee business development, client relationships, and project execution for routing, siting, permitting, and engineering services across energy projects,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering‑related field.
• Fifteen years of experience in environmental permitting and/or compliance, with at least ten years on transmission projects.
• Ten years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility in management, including supervising professionals and budgeting.
• Established credibility with federal/state agencies and clients.
• Ability to lead client meetings and manage project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a multi‑level, multi‑discipline group delivering transmission routing, siting, permitting, and compliance projects.
• Identify industry trends and develop long-term client strategies with Energy Program Leads.
• Oversee hiring and mentoring to support rapid team growth and client goals.
• Manage marketing and business development across transmission projects.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver complex energy projects.
