Job summary

AbbVie in the United States seeks a National Training Manager to design and deliver training solutions for a field sales organization, ensuring Training & Development and Brand Strategy are reflected in all programs.

The role requires building stakeholder relationships, coaching performance, and applying training fundamentals to improve participant performance. Strong experience in pharma sales training and regulatory compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years of field sales experience in pharma.
• Minimum 2 years of sales training experience.
• Knowledge of CFR 210/211 and cGMP regulations.
• Experience leading regional or national projects.
• Strong sales track record with commercial orientation.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and delivers compliant learning solutions for field teams.
• Builds trust and credibility with stakeholders through regular interaction and partnerships.
• Leverages L&D platforms to minimize duplicate efforts.
• Provides candid verbal and written feedback to trainees and creates improvement plans.
• Coaches National Field Trainers (NFT) across the organization.
• Develops Guest/Rotational Trainers with meaningful roles in classes.
• Integrates training activities with brand plans and cross-functional priorities.
• Recognized as product and disease-state expert and customer/business skills trainer.
• Mentors NFTs and leads through teamwork to foster positive peer relationships.
• Executes with minimal guidance from senior leadership.
