Forvis Mazars, LLP seeks a senior tax professional specializing in the taxation of compensation and benefits to join our Washington National Tax Office. You will translate complex tax rule into practical guidance for clients and collaborate with the tax specialty team on strategic proposals.

The role emphasizes deep knowledge of executive compensation, retirement and welfare plans, and related IRC sections.

Qualifications

10+ years of tax experience with a large accounting firm, law firm or relevant tax policymaking entity.
CPA license and/or J.D. or L.L.M.
Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills.
Extensive knowledge of compensation and benefits taxation, including IRC sections 83, 162(m), 409A.

Responsibilities

Providing insights and analysis on evolving legislation, guidance and case law to the Firm team and clients.
Building the Firm network of key relationships within the tax community.
Informing legislators and governance bodies about tax policy and practical implementation.
Identifying opportunities to create new service offerings or improve existing services.
Developing service model platforms and solutions based on developments.
Launching new national tax service lines with the Tax Specialty team.
Growing the Firm's brand as a tax thought leader through publishing and speaking.
Supporting tax professionals as part of the tax strategy team on proposals and client matters.
Completing engagements for complex, high-value specialty work.
