Job summary

Forvis Mazars US is seeking a senior tax professional to join the Washington National Tax Office. You will focus on the taxation of compensation and benefits, advising on executive compensation, retirement and welfare plans, and translating evolving tax authority into practical client guidance.

As a national thought leader, you will monitor legislation, develop value-added services, train colleagues, and help expand the Firm's brand through education and networking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or Taxation, or JD.
• 10+ years tax experience with a large firm, law firm or policy entity.
• Strong critical thinking and written communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of taxation of compensation and benefits (83, 162(m), 409A).

Responsibilities

• Provide insights on evolving legislation, guidance and case law to the Firm and clients.
• Build the Firm network of tax community relationships.
• Develop and deploy service offerings based on developments.
• Drive new national tax service lines with the Tax Specialty team.
• Publish and present thought leadership to grow the Firm's brand.
• Support tax professionals on proposals and client matters.
• Complete engagements for complex, high-value specialty work.
