Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation, or Juris Doctor.
• 10+ years of tax experience with a large accounting firm, law firm or relevant tax policymaking entity.
• Extensive knowledge of compensation and benefits taxation, including IRC 83, 162(m), and 409A.
• Strong ability to read and apply evolving tax authority to real-world facts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with client focus.
• Commitment to continuous learning and excellence; passion for serving clients and developing others.

Responsibilities

• Provide insights on evolving legislation, guidance and case law to the firm and clients.
• Build the firm network of relationships within the tax community.
• Inform legislators and governance bodies about tax policy issues and implementation.
• Identify opportunities to create or improve service offerings.
• Develop and deploy service model platforms based on developments.
• Lead new national tax service lines with the Tax Specialty team.
• Grow the firm's brand through publishing and presenting to the market.
• Support tax professionals as part of the tax strategy team on client matters.
• Complete engagements for complex, high-value specialty work.
