Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Stormwater Compliance Specialist to manage national policy and procedures for Clean Water Act/NPDES compliance. This role supports the National Stormwater Manager with permitting and enforcement concerns across regions.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree and several years of related experience, with stormwater certifications preferred. Travel may be required, and strong MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Three or more years related experience.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel overnight and sit for a long workday.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and management of the DHI Stormwater Management Strategy (SMS).
• Collaborate with Corporate Real Estate Counsel or other Corporate Manager to ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
• Communicate with region and division personnel to provide stormwater compliance information.
• Guide and assist regions and divisions in implementing improvements to stormwater processes.
• Oversee ongoing region and division stormwater training programs.
• Examine stormwater inspections and respond to regulatory agencies as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of stormwater regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and the company.
