Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Division Stormwater Compliance Specialist I to manage the Division Stormwater Management Program under federal, state, and local regulations.

The role involves coordinating with corporate and regional managers, inspections, and overseeing third‑party contractors to ensure compliance. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year stormwater experience, a valid driver’s license, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One or more years of stormwater related experience.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Possess or obtain within one year of employment at least one of the four national stormwater certifications: CPESC, CESSWI, CPSWQ, CISEC.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Regular exposure to outside weather conditions and moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level is generally moderate unless construction activity is nearby.

Responsibilities

• Sign and submit stormwater compliance related regulatory permit applications.
• Manage the Division Stormwater Management Program in compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards.
• Develop, implement, and administer revisions to the Division Stormwater Management Program.
• Communicate and supervise third-party contractors and consultants for NPDES compliance.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and participate in site inspections and investigations.
• Review and coordinate responses to requests for information from regulatory authorities.
• Provide periodic stormwater training to division personnel.
• Acquire consultants/services and provide recommendations as needed.
• Provide compliance reports to division, region and corporate.
