Job summary

Near Edison, NJ, National Sales Manager – Runway to Vice President is a hands-on leadership role for a company with strong repeat business in electrical and electronic engineered products. You will drive existing OEM relationships, build new opportunities and guide the sales team toward broader commercial leadership with a path to VP.

The position requires 5+ years leading sales teams in a manufacturing/engineering environment, travel about 20%, and onsite work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience leading internal sales teams and/or outside manufacturing reps.
• Experience selling B2B solutions within a manufacturing or engineering-driven environment.
• Willing to travel <20%, primarily overnight trips every 5-6 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Grow existing OEM relationships while developing new customer opportunities.
• Own direct sales activities from outreach through closing.
• Manage and support independent manufacturing representatives across the US.
• Guide opportunities from requirements through quoting, negotiation and order.
• Partner with customers on product specifications, applications and custom requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing and suppliers to support customer projects.
• Review pricing and quotes to ensure competitive and profitable solutions.
• Provide sales forecasts and market feedback to ownership and internal teams.
• Work alongside the current sales leader to learn the business and sales process.
• Take on increasing responsibility for sales leadership and broader commercial initiatives.
