Job summary

DLR Group in Phoenix seeks a Senior Structural Engineer + National Quality Control Leader. This hybrid leadership role combines technical structural engineering expertise with national quality leadership across the firm’s projects.

You will lead QC initiatives, mentor engineers, oversee design from schematic to construction, collaborate with architects and clients, and contribute to practice-wide standards while supporting business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8-15 years of building-related structural engineering experience (concrete, masonry, steel, wood).
• Licensed PE; SE license preferred.
• Experience leading teams of engineers.
• Proficient in structural software and BIM workflows (ETABS, Revit).

Responsibilities

• Lead QC initiatives and develop standards across the Structural Engineering practice.
• Design and oversee structural systems from schematic design to construction admin.
• Mentor engineers and conduct project quality reviews and audits.
• Support business development and participate in RFPs and interviews.
