Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer + National Quality Control Leader to advance QC processes and lead structural design from concept through construction administration. The role blends technical engineering with national quality leadership across a diverse portfolio and multiple regions.

You will mentor engineers, drive QC improvements, and collaborate with architects and clients to deliver high-quality, sustainable design solutions in a nationwide practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8–15 years of building related structural engineering experience, including concrete, masonry, steel and wood/timber; gravity and lateral systems.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) preferred.
• Experience leading teams of engineers on projects.
• Proficiency with structural software and BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality control initiatives across DLR Group’s Structural Engineering practice; develop and improve QC processes and standards.
• Design and oversee structural systems from schematic design through construction administration.
• Mentor engineers and QC reviewers to strengthen review processes.
• Manage QC performance metrics and communicate insights to leadership.
• Support business development and participate in project interviews.
