Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer + National Quality Control Leader in a hybrid role based in Omaha. You will lead QC initiatives, advance standards, and design structural systems through design to construction.

You’ll mentor engineers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support business development while ensuring technically excellent, sustainable designs across diverse project types.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 8–15 years of building structural engineering experience covering concrete, masonry, steel and timber.
• PE licensed; SE preferred; prior leadership of engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of structural software and BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advance quality control across the Structural Engineering practice.
• Design and oversee structural systems from schematic design through construction.
• Mentor engineers and lead QC reviews and audits.
• Collaborate with architects and clients within integrated design processes.
• Contribute to RFPs, project interviews, and firm branding.
