Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a National Quality Control Leader and Senior Structural Engineer to guide QC initiatives, develop standards, and mentor teams across the Structural Engineering practice. The role combines leadership with hands-on structural design from schematic through construction administration for diverse buildings.

Candidates should have 8–15 years of building-related structural experience, PE/SE credentials preferred, and strong BIM and Revit skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8-15 years of building related structural engineering experience including design of concrete, masonry, steel and wood/timber
• Licensed PE or SE preferred; leadership experience on projects
• Proficient in structural software: ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, ADAPT, RISA, Enercalc
• Experience with BIM and Autodesk Revit workflow

Responsibilities

• Lead QC initiatives across DLR Group’s Structural Engineering practice and develop QC processes.
• Mentor engineers, reviewers, and technical leaders to improve reviews and outcomes.
• Coordinate QC reviews, audits, and performance metrics; share findings with leadership.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to design structural systems from concept through construction.
• Support firmwide QC work groups and participate in cross-region collaboration.
• Contribute to Colorado Structural Engineering operations and RFP processes.
