Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a National Fleet Manager to lead and optimize fleet operations across the United States. You will centralize management for company-owned and leased assets, coordinate vendor relations, and drive performance metrics with senior leadership.

The role emphasizes strategic program development, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and process improvement. Travel is up to 10% for site visits and audits, with remote Florida office support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma certification a strong preference.
• 7–10 years commercial fleet leadership experience.
• Have managed all aspects of a national commercial fleet of at least 5,000 assets.
• Leadership qualities proven through successful financial and tactical fleet operations results.

Responsibilities

• Strategic: Responsible for building and implementing a national fleet operations program.
• Plan and execute financial budgets for fleet operations.
• Develop, implement, track, and report standard fleet performance metrics including fleet utilization rate, CSA scores, indirect hours, PM compliance rates.
• Utilize the Rapid Continuous Improvement process to streamline fleet activities and processes.
• Develop an internal and external communication channel to keep abreast of trucking industry changes.
