Job summary

Compass is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its National Workplace Operations & Facilities team. This onsite role will manage a portfolio of construction, capital improvement, and facility maintenance projects across the company's national office footprint.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience managing commercial construction, workplace, or facilities projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management, or related field.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong budget management and financial tracking experience.
• Proficiency with construction and project management software.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, and fire/life safety systems.
• Ability to review drawings, identify constructability concerns, and collaborate with design and construction teams to resolve issues.
• Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support project execution (approx 30%).
• Ability to perform occasional physical activities, including site inspections, construction walkthroughs, and office audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage office build-outs, relocations, and capital refresh projects from planning through completion.
• Develop project scopes, RFPs, bid packages, and procurement strategies tailored to project objectives and local market conditions.
• Oversee external project managers, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and tracking tools to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Conduct project due diligence to identify risks, building conditions, and potential constraints.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align project schedules, budgets, and business requirements.
• Ensure all projects meet Compass design, quality, and brand standards.
