Job summary

Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) National seeks a Director of Workforce Programs & Apprenticeship to lead workforce education systems, apprenticeship administration, program delivery, and analytics. You will expand the construction workforce pipeline by strengthening chapter initiatives and partnerships.

The role requires strategic vision, collaboration across chapters and education partners, and a track record of driving outcomes in workforce development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Workforce Development, Education, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in workforce development or related field.
• Experience developing strategic partnerships with external stakeholders.
• Experience managing complex projects and multiple initiatives.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically.
• Availability to work evenings/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for workforce development initiatives aligned with the Association's Strategic Plan and priorities.
• Develop national workforce strategies to strengthen the talent pipeline and support member needs.
• Establish departmental goals, objectives, performance measures, and key initiatives to drive improvement.
• Lead apprenticeship program development, maintenance, and standards; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Build partnerships with chapters, education partners, and government agencies.
• Represent ABC National before workforce organizations and strategic partners.
