Job summary

AE2S is seeking a nationally scoped Civil Practice Leader to direct strategy, technical direction, and growth for the civil engineering practice across the United States. This senior role influences project delivery, expands capabilities across states, and strengthens AE2S’s market leadership.

You will collaborate with leadership to build teams, win major pursuits, and mentor engineers while advancing innovative civil solutions and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field.
• PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• 10+ years of experience in site civil or municipal engineering.
• 2 years of leadership experience leading teams or practice areas.
• Proven track record of technical excellence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, the public, and colleagues.
• Ability to develop, win, and retain client relationships.
• Ability to travel periodically for conferences, project pursuits, and business development.

Responsibilities

• Set and drive the national vision for AE2S's civil engineering practice.
• Partner across regions to grow teams, capabilities and marketing presence.
• Lead technical direction and elevate quality across civil projects.
• Anticipate and operationalize emerging trends in the civil practice.
• Represent AE2S in industry through client advisory roles and events.
• Support major pursuits and provide technical leadership in business development.
• Mentor and develop engineers and staff across offices.
